Mathematics is one of the essential emanations of the human spirits. The Department of Mathematics began its journey with an Under Graduate course in 2005 and was upgraded to the Post Graduate level in 2016. Periodical Guest Lectures, Competitions and exhibitions have been conducted by the department to achieve human excellence along with academic excellence. The Department has produced some distinguished ranks. Under the guidance of the dedicated faculty, students have shown remarkable achievements in Co-curricular activities. We have a dedicated team of experienced faculty to enrich the knowledge capacity of the students.
Mathematics Association OPMID came into existence in the year 2005. An operation in Mathematics using Deduction and Induction is abbreviated as OPMID. The association aims to provide a scope for learning beyond the classroom confinement for the exposure to real life problems relating to society. Various activities such as lectures by renowned mathematics teachers, interschool competitions, celebrating days and events pertaining to the history of mathematics or men of mathematics, organizing recreational activities in mathematics such as puzzles, number games, mathematical exhibitions, national level, state level seminars are organized by the association. Overall it is the need of the hour of the association to help students in having an idea of the practical utility of mathematics in addition to creating their interest in mathematics.
